There can be various reasons why prices differ between your broker and Parqet.
For example, it may be due to the different exchanges on which the securities are traded or to the exchanges’ trading hours. (After 5 p.m., spreads widen and the reference market principle no longer applies.)
Your broker may also show you the bid or ask price as the current price. Some brokers also include the order fees directly in the displayed return, so you see your current return after deducting the order fees for the buy. Some brokers include the fees in the entry price (your price per share). Parqet calculates the entry price without fees and shows fees and taxes separately under “Costs”.
Changing the exchange in Parqet
Depending on the security and the available price data, you can set your preferred exchange yourself. To do this, open the holding, click the three dots at the top right → “Manage” and choose the exchange under “Exchange”. Each exchange shows its current price next to it.
This setting is a preference. If another exchange has a more recent price, Parqet uses that one.
So if, for example, you’ve set Gettex as your exchange and look at your portfolio early in the morning before Gettex opens, you may see prices from L&S. L&S opens earlier, so it already has more recent prices.
The easiest way to check whether prices differ significantly, or to let us know, is to compare your portfolio in Parqet with your brokerage account at your broker during normal trading hours (e.g. between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.). Are the prices very different? If so, please contact us directly via our contact form (topic “Data (Prices, News, Logos, Sectors)”).
