As a Parqet user, you can add your Interactive Brokers portfolio with the file import. To do this, you create a report at IB that also includes the companies’ ISINs. (The import for CapTrader works in a very similar way.)

Here’s how to import your Interactive Brokers transactions👇

  1. Create an Activity Flex Query in your Interactive Brokers account: Log in and select “Flex Queries” under “Performance & Reports”. Click the plus icon there to create the report.

Enter a name for the report here, for example “Parqet”.

  1. Report selection: Create a report in each of the sections “Cash Transactions” and “Trades”.

Turn on all options in each of them.

Cash Transactions options with all options selected

Trades options with only “Executions” selected

  1. Report options: In the lower section, you still need to set the report’s formatting. Make sure the settings match the following screenshots.

Delivery configuration: format CSV, column headers included, all other yes/no options set to no, period last 365 calendar days

General configuration: date format yyyyMMdd, time format HHmmss, semicolon as date/time separator, profit and loss Standard, all yes/no options set to no
  1. Run the report: After saving, you can run the report via the right arrow.

Select the period for which you want to export the transactions. Then select CSV as the format.

  1. Drag the CSV file into your Parqet portfolio: Import the downloaded CSV file into Parqet via drag and drop. Parqet only reads the details of your activities from it, for example the date, security, number of shares, price, and taxes and fees. You can find more on our privacy page.

Your transactions are now imported into Parqet 💪. Your Parqet portfolio analysis updates right away, and you can track your performance, asset allocation, dividends, value development, and so much more.

Parqet imports buys, sells, dividends, deposits and withdrawals, and interest from the file. The file needs at least the columns ISIN, Description, and CurrencyPrimary.
