Portfolio Performance users can now transfer their entire portfolio to Parqet in just a few steps.

In Portfolio Performance, go to “File” -> “Export”.

Select “Securities Account Transactions” and click “Finish”.

Parqet reads Portfolio Performance exports in German and English. Then drag and drop the saved CSV files onto your Parqet portfolio.

Repeat the steps above for “Account Transactions” so that dividend payments are imported as well.

Parqet’s file import automatically finds the right securities based on the stored WKN, ISIN or name and saves the related activities to your portfolio. If no unique security is found, you’ll be asked to assign the activity to a security or to ignore it.

Importing from Portfolio Performance has a few pitfalls. It’s important that the master data of each security always contains either the ISIN (12 characters) or the WKN (6 characters). If only the ticker is set in a security’s master data, unfortunately that isn’t enough for the import. It’s also important that the number of shares is always set (i.e., not empty) for each security transaction. If no number of shares is set, set it to 1.

Watch out for stock splits: When you book a split, Portfolio Performance adjusts your earlier buys. But Parqet records splits centrally itself and applies them to your buys. After the import, the split then counts twice. So undo splits in Portfolio Performance before exporting, for example with a reverse split on the same date (4:1 instead of 1:4). Alternatively, correct the number of shares and the price of the affected buys in Parqet after the import. Use the values from your settlement note. Learn more: Centrally managed security events.
