Fixing problems with AI integrations

What you can do if Claude, ChatGPT or another AI tool shows no, wrong or incomplete portfolio data from Parqet.

Written by Niklas Klamm

Here you’ll find help if Claude, ChatGPT or another AI tool shows no, wrong or incomplete portfolio data from Parqet.

You manage your integrations at app.parqet.com/profile in the “Integrations” section.

A new portfolio is missing in the AI tool

Cause: When you connect, you choose which portfolios the AI tool may access. A portfolio you create afterwards is only shared automatically if you turned on access under “Future portfolios”.

What you can do:

  1. Open app.parqet.com/profile and, under “Integrations”, click the integration, for example Claude.

  2. Click “Edit permissions”.

  3. Check the new portfolio or select “All portfolios”.

  4. If new portfolios should be shared automatically from now on, turn on read access under “Future portfolios” and, if needed, write access.

  5. Save with “Edit permissions”.

The integration won’t connect or authorization fails

What you can do: Remove the integration on both sides and connect it again:

  1. Remove the Parqet integration in your AI tool (for example in Claude) and at app.parqet.com/profile.

  2. Connect the integration again. The permissions dialog will then appear again.

  3. Then start a new chat.

The AI tool shows wrong or no portfolio data

Cause: Sometimes the AI tool mixes up data, for example portfolio IDs.

What you can do:

  • Claude: Point out the mistake to Claude and check the new answer. Or start a new chat.

  • ChatGPT: Type “@Parqet” before your first message. Then check that Parqet is selected in the chat.

The AI tool can’t create activities in my portfolio

Cause: There are read-only and write-enabled integrations. Read-only integrations, such as the Portfolio Rebalancer, can only view your data. Write-enabled integrations can only write to portfolios you’ve granted write access to.

What you can do: At app.parqet.com/profile → integration → “Edit permissions”, check whether the portfolio has write access. For experiments with an AI tool, we recommend a separate portfolio so your maintained portfolios stay untouched.

Another AI tool (e.g. Cursor) won’t connect

Cause: The client ID of the Claude integration only works for Claude, and the client ID of the ChatGPT integration only works for ChatGPT. Parqet doesn’t support dynamic client registration (DCR).

What you can do: Create a private integration in your own account with the matching redirect URL and use its client ID. You’ll find out how in the guide on developer.parqet.com.

What data does the AI tool see?

Parqet only shares anonymized portfolio data. The integration only sees your portfolios and their contents – not your name, payment details or addresses. When you connect, every integration shows you which data it needs.

More about data storage in general: What data does Parqet store about me?
