Watchlists: track, share and follow securities

Create a watchlist, add assets, share your watchlist and follow other watchlists

With Basic, you can create 1 watchlist, with Plus 5 and with Investor 20.

With a watchlist, you track stocks, ETFs, funds and cryptocurrencies that aren’t in your portfolio. The watchlist shows the prices and compares how the assets perform. You choose the time period for the chart and performance at the top right of the watchlist.

You create and edit watchlists in the web app.

Create a watchlist

  1. Click “Watchlists” in the sidebar.

  2. Click “New watchlist”.

  3. Enter a name and, optionally, a description.

  4. Turn on “Public” if others may follow your watchlist.

  5. Click “Save”.

Add an asset

In the watchlist:

  1. Open the watchlist.

  2. Click “Add asset”.

  3. Search by name, ISIN or WKN and select the asset.

From the security page:

  1. Open the security’s page.

  2. Click “To watchlist”.

  3. Select the watchlist and click “Add”.

You can’t add securities without prices to a watchlist. More on this: Parqet has no historical prices

Remove an asset or add it to your portfolio

In the watchlist, open the menu next to the asset. There you’ll find:

  • “Asset details”: opens the security page

  • “Add to portfolio”: creates an activity for this asset

  • “Delete”: removes the asset from the watchlist

Edit or delete a watchlist

Under “Watchlists”, open the watchlist’s menu and select “Edit” or “Delete”. Under “Edit”, you change the name, description and visibility.

Share a watchlist

  1. Open the watchlist.

  2. Click “Make public” if the watchlist is private.

  3. Click “Share” at the top right and copy the link.

You can only share public watchlists. Other users then see the assets in your watchlist and can follow it. Anyone can open the link, even without a Parqet account.

Follow a watchlist

  1. Open a public watchlist, for example via a shared link or under “Popular watchlists” on the “Markets” page.

  2. Click “Follow”.

You’ll find watchlists you follow under “Watchlists” › “Followed lists”. Use “Unfollow” to remove them again.

What else can I use watchlists for?

  • Dividend calendar: Filter the calendar by your own or followed watchlists. This requires a Plus or Investor subscription.

  • News: Filter news by your watchlists.

Common questions

I can’t create another watchlist.

You’ve reached your plan’s limit: Basic 1, Plus 5, Investor 20. Delete a watchlist or switch to a higher plan.

How many assets fit in a watchlist?

As many as you like. The limit only applies to the number of watchlists.

I can’t find a security.

Search by ISIN or WKN. If the security is missing, read My security can’t be found.

Where do the prices come from?

For most securities, Parqet uses real-time prices from gettex. For some securities, Parqet uses other sources, for example Lang & Schwarz.
