Import cash & interest via CSV file

Written by Niklas Klamm

You import cash and interest activities with your own CSV file. Here’s how:

  1. Create the cash holding you want in your portfolio

  2. Go to the holding page and copy the ID from your browser’s URL. Example: For https://app.parqet.com/p/123456/h/hld_123456, the holding ID is hld_123456

Browser address bar of a Parqet holding page with the holding ID at the end of the URL highlighted

  3. Take the following template for the cash import and adjust it:

    datetime;type;amount;currency;tax;fee;holding
    2022-01-01T00:00:00.000Z;TransferIn;1500.00;EUR;0;0;hld_123456

Alternatively: Here you can download the template as a CSV file. In it, replace HOLDING_ID with the holding ID from step 2.

As the type, you can use TransferIn for deposits, TransferOut for withdrawals, Interest for interest and Cost for taxes & fees. Cash holdings don’t have buys or sells.

Important: The import won’t work without a holding in the .csv file. The holding must have been created in step 1 (it can also be several).
You then import the finished CSV file like any other file via the file import.

Parqet cash holding page after the import: success message for one imported activity and a transfer in under the latest activities

    Interest example:

Spreadsheet with the columns datetime, type, amount, currency, tax, fee and holding, filled with five interest rows
