X-Ray shows incomplete or outdated data

Why the X-Ray breakdown of an ETF or fund may be missing or outdated – and what you can do.

Written by Niklas Klamm

Here you'll learn why the X-Ray breakdown of an ETF or fund may be missing or outdated – and what you can do.

X-Ray breaks down ETFs and funds by countries and sectors. This way, their contents are included in your portfolio's overall statistics. You can read more about X-Ray in the article Parqet X-Ray: break down ETFs and funds into individual stocks.

My new ETF doesn't have X-Ray data yet

Cause: After an ETF is launched, it takes some time until the data providers deliver the full breakdown. Until then, it's missing in X-Ray.

What you can do: You don't need to do anything. As soon as the data is available, the breakdown appears in your portfolio automatically. We can't give you an exact date for this.

My ETF or fund only shows the stock weighting

Cause: Parqet gets the composition of ETFs and funds from external data providers. For some ETFs and traditional mutual funds, these providers sometimes don't deliver a detailed breakdown yet. In that case, X-Ray only shows the stock weighting.

What you can do: Send us the ISINs or WKNs of the affected ETFs or funds via our contact form (topic “Data (Prices, News, Logos, Sectors)”).

My active fund has incomplete X-Ray data

Cause: Some active funds disclose their securities only once or twice a year, and sometimes not completely or not publicly at all. That's why getting this data is often much more difficult for funds than for ETFs.

What you can do: Send us the ISINs or WKNs of the affected funds via our contact form (topic “Data (Prices, News, Logos, Sectors)”).

My swap ETF isn't broken down into individual securities

Cause: For swap ETFs (synthetic ETFs), Parqet shows the securities of the underlying index. The reference is usually the holdings of a matching, physically replicating ETF on the same index. The securities the swap ETF holds as collateral are not a breakdown of the index. That's why Parqet doesn't show them as a breakdown. If no data on the index is available, the breakdown into individual securities is missing.

What you still see: The sector and country data should still be displayed.

The data seems outdated or a rebalancing is missing

Cause: Parqet regularly requests the composition from the data providers. For ETFs, the data is usually updated once or twice a week. A new rebalancing appears automatically as soon as the data provider has added it.

What you can do: On the asset page, you can see directly below the composition when the data was last updated.
