Dividend calendar: see upcoming dividends and sync them with your calendar

Announced and expected dividends, filters, differences by plan and calendar sync via URL or ICS file

Written by Niklas Klamm

You can use the dividend calendar on every plan. With a Plus or Investor subscription, you see forecasts, filter by portfolios and watchlists, and sync the dividend calendar with your own calendar.

The dividend calendar shows past, announced and expected dividends for more than 35,000 stocks and ETFs. You find it in the sidebar under “Dividend calendar” and in the mobile app. In the mobile app, you get there like this: On “Home”, tap “Open Dividend Calendar”. In the “Dividends” tab, tap “View More in Your Dividend Calendar”. Or tap your profile picture in the top left and then “Dividend Calendar”.

Announced or expected?

  • Announced: The company has announced the dividend.

  • Expected (“E”): Parqet estimates the dividend from past payouts and their growth. The actual dividend may differ. For an estimate, the security needs at least 1 year of dividend history. The basis is the dividend growth of the last 10 years. If that is missing, Parqet uses the median value of all securities. Current company figures and news are not taken into account.

All amounts in the calendar are gross, so before taxes and fees. Parqet doesn’t know your tax rate or your tax allowances. If you filter by your portfolio, the calendar shows the amount for the number of shares you hold. Otherwise, it shows the amount per share.

The calendar doesn’t add any dividends to your portfolio. Your received dividends get into your portfolio via Autosync, file import or as a manual activity.

Adjusting the view

  • Month or year: Switch at the top with “Month” and “Year”.

  • Calendar view or list view: Switch with the icons in the top right. The calendar view shows up to 5 dividends per day. With “Show more”, you see all of them. If you hover over a security, you see its key dividend data. A click opens the security’s dividends page.

  • Weekend: Click the eye icon “WE” on the left above the calendar. The calendar then also shows Saturday and Sunday.

  • Ex-date or payment date: Under “Preferences”, choose which date the calendar sorts by. In the mobile app, you choose this in the filter under “Display On”. To receive the dividend, you must hold the stock in your brokerage account before the ex-date. The payout usually arrives on the payment date.

  • Currency: Under “Preferences”, choose the currency of the amounts.

Filtering

At the top under “Filter”, you choose which dividends the calendar shows:

  • Lists such as “Popular stocks”, “Popular ETFs”, “Popular funds” or indices such as DAX and S&P 500

  • Asset class: “Only stocks”, “Only ETFs”, “Only funds” or “Other”

  • With a Plus or Investor subscription: your portfolios, views, your watchlists and followed watchlists

If you filter by portfolios, views or watchlists, you can’t also filter by assets.

Syncing with your calendar

You set up the calendar sync in the web app. You need a Plus or Investor subscription.

  1. In the dividend calendar, set the filters, for example your portfolios.

  2. Click “Add to calendar”.

  3. Choose an option:

    • “Via URL (always up to date)”: Click “Copy”. Add the URL as a calendar subscription in your calendar app, for example in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

    • “Via ICS file (one-time export)”: Click “Download”. Import the file into your calendar app.

In the window, you find the link “Instructions for your calendar”. Each event in your calendar shows the amount per share. If you filter by your portfolio, it also shows the amount for the number of shares you hold. A link leads to the security’s dividends page. Whether the event is on the ex-date or the payment date is set beforehand under “Preferences”. Expected dividends have an “(E)” in the title.

We recommend the URL. Your calendar then loads new dividends on its own. The ICS file is a snapshot. Dividends announced later are missing from it.

CAUTION: If the calendar includes your portfolios, anyone with the URL can see the amount of your dividends. Don’t share the URL.

CAUTION: In many calendar apps, you can’t undo an ICS import. Create a separate calendar for the dividends.

Good to know:

  • The calendar sync doesn’t support the “Views” filter. Choose portfolios or watchlists instead.

  • If your Plus or Investor subscription ends, the URL only delivers announced dividends for the next 3 months.

Common questions

A dividend appears in the calendar but not in my portfolio’s dividends tab.

The dividends tab only shows officially announced dividends. Estimates are only available in the calendar. More on this: Why aren’t all announced dividends shown?

The amount in the calendar is higher than my credit.

The calendar shows gross amounts. Your credit is net, after taxes and fees. More on this: What can I do if the wrong dividend amount is shown?

A canceled dividend still appears as “E”.

The estimate is based on the history. It doesn’t always detect a canceled dividend. We are aware of the issue.

My calendar doesn’t show any new dividends.

You imported an ICS file. Set up the calendar via URL instead.

You can report wrong dividend data for a security via our contact form (topic “Data (Prices, News, Logos, Sectors)”). Please include the ISIN.
