Smartbroker+ PDF import

How to download the PDF statements from Smartbroker+ and import them into Parqet.

Written by Niklas Klamm

Parqet reads the PDF documents from Smartbroker+ and imports them as activities.

How to download the documents

  1. Log in to Smartbroker+.

  2. Click “Profil” (profile) in the menu at the top.

  3. Click “Dokumente” (documents). The individual statements are in the “Kosteninformationen und Wertpapierabrechnungen” (cost information and trade confirmations) tab.

Smartbroker+ profile with the “Dokumente” menu item, the “Kosteninformationen und Wertpapierabrechnungen” tab, and the PDF download button

  4. Click “PDF” next to each statement to download it.

How to import the documents

  1. Drag and drop the PDF files into your Parqet portfolio.

  2. Or click “Add activities” at the bottom right and select “File import (PDF/CSV)”.

Which documents are supported?

Documents from Smartbroker+ (custodian bank: Baader Bank):

  • Trade confirmations “Kauf” (buy) and “Verkauf” (sell), as a buy and sell

  • Statements for buying and selling crypto assets (as a buy and sell)

  • Dividend statements and distributions (as a dividend). Parqet books a canceled distribution as a dividend with a negative amount.

  • Periodic account statements for the EUR account (buys, sells, and dividends as a buy, sell, and dividend)

  • Account closing statements for the EUR account (credit interest as interest in the cash holding)

  • Notices on the Vorabpauschale (Parqet books the tax as costs on the holding)

Older Smartbroker documents with the address “Landsberger Straße 300”:

  • Buy confirmations (as a buy)

  • Sell confirmations (as a sell)

  • Redemptions of turbo warrants (as a sell)

  • Dividend and income credit notes as well as capital repayments (as a dividend)

  • Statements on exchanges or subscriptions of securities (as a transfer in)

  • Notices on acquisition data and adjustments to it (as a transfer in)

IMPORTANT: For the same period, import either the periodic account statements or the individual statements, not both. The individual statements also include fees and taxes.

Not imported: wealth reports, cost statements, account closing statements without credit interest, Vorabpauschale notices without tax, and brokerage account transfers (incoming and outgoing deliveries). Enter brokerage account transfers manually as a transfer in or transfer out.

Parqet doesn’t import fees or taxes from periodic account statements. For turbo redemptions, Parqet doesn’t import fees.

An adjustment of acquisition data books the shares in again. If you’ve already imported the first notice, delete the duplicate transfer in.

If a document isn’t recognized, send us 1–2 anonymized PDFs via our contact form (topic “Data Import: PDF/CSV/Manual”).
